Today's Creation

I need your input, blog readers! I made these flower headbands today. What do you think? I'm thinking of selling them, whether it be just to friends or doing a booth at the Barn Sale or something like that. I'd love to hear your opinion. Leave me a comment or contact me personally.

Other Flower Headbands

Here are three other daisies I plan to make flower headbands from. They are a little smaller than the pale pink, but a fuller flower. I'm sure they will be precious too! Let me know what you think.

New Materials/Projects

I'll be working on some creations in the next few days. Here are some of the materials I've found to work with. This is a pale pink and white daisy like the one that Graci is wearing in the photo above. It's a big flower but makes a super-cute band.

Blessings on My Flowerbeds

The uncharacteristic rains have certainly been good to my flowerbeds as well. Last night, I spent forever (well, that's what it felt like, at least) "training" a flowering vine that I have in my back flowerbed. I admit, I had been neglecting it and it was growing wild. I have been amazed at how quickly this plant has grown. The lady at the nursery told me it would. Don't ask the name of the plant. I haven't the foggiest. No green thumb here!! Not a domestic goddess, remember? Maybe I'll remember to take a picture of it sometime and one of you "flower people" can tell me. It's an evergreen that has the most fragrant white blossoms.

When I was outside this afternoon, I did notice that my Crepe Myrtles (I do know their name, but who doesn't??) were looking pretty, so I snapped a couple pics of them to share. This one is in the front flowerbed on the garage end of the house. I have pink ones on each end of the bed and a white one tucked in the corner before the front porch starts. The pink ones are supposed to be dwarfs. Hmmmmm.....

Photo Session from Friday

On Friday, I did a photo session with my youngest neice, Graci. This is one of my favorite pictures from the session. I made her enormous flower headband and her tutu! You can't imagine how much fun that is for a mom of two rowdy boys! I absolutely love taking photos and Graci was a beautiful, cooperative subject.
